SPEECH AND ARTICULATION

Are you worried that;

  1. You cannot understand your child’s speech?

  2. You can understand most of what they say but others hardly understand?

  3. Your child is getting frustrated when not understood?

  4. You hear sound errors that don’t sound right to you?

The terms speech or articulation refer to the way children or adults pronounce their speech sounds.

A child or adult having difficulty producing the correct speech sounds can lead to frustration when not understood. Some sound speech disorders can also have an impact on literacy development.

An assessment by a speech pathologist may be necessary. When you book an assessment the speech pathologist will listen to how your child talks and determine the cause or source of the error. They will discuss and advise you on an appropriate treatment plan.

You do not need a doctors referral to access speech pathology services
